Good Idea!

Finish every day and be done with it. You have done what you could.

Some blunders and absurdities crept in. Forget them as soon as you can.

Tomorrow is a new day; you should begin in serenely and with too high a spirit to be encumbered with your old nonsense.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

So true. Here's another:
Fill your bowl to the brim
and it will spill.
Keep sharpening your knife
and it will be blunt.
Chase after money and security
and your heart will never unclench.
Care about people's approval
and you will be their prisoner.

Do your work, then step back.
The only path to serenity.

-Lao Tzu

Emerson's the man. Wait, no, Thoreau's the man, but Emerson is close to the man.

FE: Like that one too. Dare I say, I can't even think who Lao Tzu is? Sounds (vaguely) framiliar, but nothing solid. I should use 'The Google'.

Callooh: Ironic, isn't it?

Anya: Y'know, I tried reading
'Walden' several times, but was never able to get through it. Then I take such a long break from it, that I have no choice but to start at the beginning again. Maybe I'll start with "Civil Disobediance" and work my way into the mind-frame.

ooOoooo...Civ. Dis. is good too...
There was a famous story of Thoreau in jail because he was protesting slavery and Emerson came to visit him, (they were pretty good friends..) and Emerson said to him: "What are you DOING in there?" and Thoreau said: "What are you doing out there?"
